Lead – GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) & AI Search Visibility
Job Purpose
Our Commercial Excellence team is focused on helping pharma and life sciences brands show up accurately, safely and consistently across next-generation search and AI surfaces (LLMs, AI Overviews, answer engines, etc.). We harness the power of data, content and technology to build AI-first visibility strategies that matter to patients, HCPs and client organizations.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate technical lead to define, shape and execute GEO programmes for global brands. This role will sit at the intersection of content, medical, analytics, web and GenAI, and will partner closely with internal and client teams to make GEO a scalable capability.
Must Have
Lead GEO diagnostic engagements — AI answer audits, brand presence mapping, gap analysis, across consumer and clinical AI surfaces
Experienced and hands on AI Listening tools- like Profound, SemRush etc.
Own client relationship through the full engagement arc: discovery, strategy, design, handover
Shape and pressure-test Indegene's GEO solution: frameworks, tooling, measurement, governance
Build business cases and narratives for new GEO engagements; participate actively in pitches and proposals
Design AI-ready content architecture and publication strategy for brands operating in regulated environments
Translate clinical and commercial AI dynamics into coherent, actionable client roadmaps
Partner with Medical Affairs,Web, and Analytics to embed GEO into existing workflows ,not alongside themDevelop reusable playbooks, checklists, and case studies that raise the floor for the entire practiceMentor and guide junior team members as the GEO practice scales

Required Qualifications:
We are seeking professionals with the following qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, search, content strategy, analytics or consulting, ideally with SEO exposure.
- Agency experience in SEO and GEO/AIO is a must have. Pharma experience is good to have but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects with global teams.
- Strong understanding of search behaviour, web/content structures and basic analytics.
- Comfort engaging with concepts like LLMs, AI search, structured data (schema, OG tags), knowledge graphs.
- Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
The following are not mandatory but would be a plus:
- Experience with tools (e.g., GSC, GA/GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).
- Prior involvement in GEO, AIO, or AI visibility strategy
- Exposure to GenAI / LLM tools (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, etc.) and prompt-based workflows.
- Experience in team handling, SEO strategy or digital transformation roles.
