Role: Snowflake Data Engineer Lead

 

Description:
•    Manage day-to-day data operations ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with business objectives.
•    Oversee the maintenance, improvement, and development of ETL pipelines,  data governance, and processes.(Snowflake, SQL, Python).
•    Should be proficient with Snowflake Analytical SQL queries, complex SQL queries.
•    Continuously review, optimize, and enhance data  processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk
•    Collaborate closely with onshore stakeholders (Data & Analytics leads, Business Units, IT) to define and implement data strategies and solutions
•    Develop and maintain strong working relationships with onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless project execution.
•    Translate business needs into technical solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and relevance of the data services provided.
•    Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity across the organization.
•    Monitor and report on data quality issues, working with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
•    Manage the offshore reporting team to develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
•    Maintain regular communication with senior leadership and stakeholders on project status, team performance, and any critical issues.
•    Develop presentations, reports, and updates for stakeholders that summarize key outcomes, ongoing initiatives, and value delivered

Must Have

•     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
•     5-8 years experienced in Data Analytics, data management, ETL or datawarehousing development using Snowflake
•     Strong technical background with experience in data engineering, ETL frameworks. Preferred experience with ETL tools  (Dataiku, Informatica, Databricks etc.) SQL(Snowflake) programming languages( Python) 
•     Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
•     Experience managing cross-functional teams including data analysts, and engineers.
•     Proven ability to manage offshore data operations teams and execute projects in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
•     Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
•     Experience in managing SLAs and ensuring consistent delivery within deadlines.
•     Experience working in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
•     Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies for managing data projects.
