Role: Director - DA
Position Summary: As the Director of Market & Competitive Intelligence, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end strategy, execution, and governance of global market research initiatives—including secondary research, primary research, social listening, and data analytics. You will serve as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders and business leaders, guiding decision-making through data-driven insights and actionable intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership: Define and lead the vision, roadmap, and operational execution for market and competitive intelligence efforts across key therapeutic and commercial areas.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, partnering across Marketing, Medical, Commercial, and Strategy teams to shape and inform business decisions with relevant market insights.
• Research Oversight: Oversee a portfolio of research engagements—ensuring alignment with business priorities, methodological rigor, and timely delivery. This includes both secondary (pivotal) and ad-hoc primary research, as well as social media listening and competitive landscaping.
• Insight Generation: Translate complex datasets and market signals into meaningful, business-ready insights and recommendations.
• Deliver high-impact presentations to C-level and functional stakeholders.
• Vendor Management: Lead and manage relationships with external research vendors and data partners. Drive accountability, data integrity, and cost-effective execution.
• Governance & Best Practices: Establish and embed best practices for market research governance, insight communication, and data visualization standards across the function.
• Team Leadership & Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team of analysts and senior analysts. Foster a culture of analytical excellence, continuous learning, and proactive business partnership.
Qualifications:
• 15+ years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or strategic insights within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and shaping business strategies through insights.
• Strong command of both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
• Experience managing global projects and vendor relationships in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with ability to simplify complex information for executive audiences.
