Role: Lead Business Analyst


Job description: You will be responsible for: 

We are looking for a Techno-Functional Lead Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, with deep expertise in data management, data warehousing, and analytics operations.


Functional Responsibilities
•    Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders to capture use cases related to data integration, transformation, reporting, and governance.
•    Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, including BRDs, FRDs, data mapping sheets, and user stories.
•    Work closely with business users to define KPIs, success metrics, and data consumption patterns.
•    Provide functional support during UAT and ensure business acceptance of analytics and data management solutions.
•    Facilitate stakeholder communications and manage expectations across business and IT groups.


Technical Responsibilities
•    Collaborate with data architects and engineers to design and validate data warehouse structures, data lakes, and ETL workflows.
•    Perform SQL-based data analysis and validation to support requirement refinement and solution testing.
•    Contribute to data modeling discussions, particularly around source-to-target mapping, schema design, and data standardization.
•    Assist in defining and reviewing data quality rules, metadata standards, and master data management (MDM) configurations.
•    Support development of reporting layers by identifying required dimensions, measures, hierarchies, and filters aligned with business KPIs.
•    Perform data validation and UAT to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business logic.

•    Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
•    Excellent written and verbal communication for both technical and business audiences
•    Ability to coordinate and drive cross-functional collaboration
•    Self-starter with an ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

Must Have

•    12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Techno-Functional Consultant with data and analytics focus
•    Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data lifecycle management
•    Solid hands-on experience in:
o    Writing and reviewing SQL queries
o    Interacting with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio)
o    Supporting cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) from a data project standpoint
•    Strong capability to gather, write, and manage business and technical requirements
•    Working knowledge of data management principles – data quality, metadata, stewardship, and MDM
•    Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like Jira, Confluence, or equivalent

Good to have

•    Understanding of data quality and governance frameworks 
•    Exposure to Gen AI concepts, especially in analytics use cases such as insight generation, summarization, and prompt engineering
•    Experience contributing to cloud data modernization or data lakehouse programs
