CONTENT MANAGER:
Role Summary:
The Content SME will be embedded within a client led Therapeutic Area (TA) POD and will be responsible for translating brand strategy into consistent, high-quality content across channels. This role will act as a strategic bridge between brand, medical, and content teams to ensure aligned messaging, scientific accuracy, and compliance readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
Interpret brand strategy and define content direction and messaging frameworks
Ensure consistent pull-through of key messages across all assets
Provide guidance and oversight to content writers in the team for effective execution
Review content (promotional and scientific) for scientific accuracy, alignment, and compliance readiness along with its adherence to the brand strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support campaign and content planning
Drive content quality, consistency, and efficiency across the TA POD

Brand narrative development and message prioritization
Omnichannel content planning and modular content design
Scientific Communication
Clinical data interpretation (Phase II–IV trials)
Evidence-based storytelling for HCP audiences
MLR & Compliance Excellence
Strong understanding of global and regional regulatory frameworks
Proven track record of improving first-pass approval rates
Content Governance
Development of content guardrails and messaging frameworks
Ensuring cross-asset consistency and scientific accuracy
Key Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Background:
• Master’s degree in Life Sciences/Pharmacy/Medicine, with an understanding of promotional medical content writing and experience of directing medical writers to ensure quality of output and adherence to brand strategy.
• Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) is a plus.
Experience:
• 12+ years in a mix of medical content writing + content management/medical advisor for pharma marketing, healthcare communications, or healthcare advertising agency.
• Understanding of pharma marketing, brand strategy and communications, and experience in HCP and patient-focused content creation for omnichannel marketing.
• Experience in guiding and mentoring other medical writers towards common objectives and alignment to client briefs. Reviewing content to ensure its first time right and adheres to highest scientific and editorial standards.
• Knowledge of therapeutic areas like cardiology, endocrinology, oncology, or rare diseases is an advantage.
• Exposure to global markets (US/EU markets and their approval processes) will be a plus.
Technical & Soft Skills:
• Strong understanding of clinical research, scientific writing, and pharma promotional guidelines.
• Proficiency in English – spoken and written is a must.
• Ability to simplify complex medical concepts for non-specialist audiences.
• Familiarity with SEO, UX writing, social media marketing, and email automation.
• Experience using content management systems (CMS), CRM platforms (Veeva, Salesforce), and analytics tools.
• Excellent project management, cross-team collaboration, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
