Role: Senior Manager – AI Architect
Location: West Coast - US
Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced AI Architect with strong expertise in pharmaceutical and life sciences domains to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale AI, ML, and GenAI solutions.
This role will focus on defining AI architecture, driving data strategy, and enabling AI-led transformation across commercial, medical, clinical, and real-world evidence functions. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise, pharma domain knowledge, and strong stakeholder advisory capabilities.

Must Have
Key Responsibilities:
1. AI Architecture & Strategy
• Define and lead end-to-end AI/ML and GenAI architecture across data ingestion, processing, modeling, and deployment
• Align AI strategy with enterprise data platforms and digital transformation goals
• Design scalable solutions for:
• Commercial & omnichannel analytics
• Medical affairs and insights
• Evaluate and recommend AI tools, platforms, and architectural frameworks
2.AI/ML & GenAI Solution Enablement
• Architect and guide development of:
• Predictive analytics models (forecasting, segmentation, targeting)
• NLP and text analytics (medical content, literature mining)
• GenAI use cases (copilots, automation, knowledge management)
• Define GenAI guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and governance models
• Ensure solutions are production-ready, scalable, and business-aligned
3. Data Strategy, Governance & Compliance
• Define and implement data strategy covering data lakes, warehouses, and AI-ready platforms
• Establish data governance frameworks (quality, lineage, metadata, stewardship)
• Ensure compliance with pharma regulations and data privacy standards (GxP, HIPAA, GDPR)
• Drive responsible AI and secure data access models [Solution A...or Manager | Word]
4. Stakeholder & Client Engagement
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior business, analytics, and IT stakeholders
• Lead:
• Solutioning discussions
• Architecture workshops
• RFPs, proposals, and POVs
• Translate AI/technical concepts into business value and executive narratives
5. Leadership & Delivery Excellence
• Mentor and guide data scientists, ML engineers, and analytics teams
• Drive best practices across:
• AI solution design
• Governance and compliance
• Delivery excellence
• Lead cross-functional and globally distributed teams
6. Innovation & Capability Building
• Drive adoption of GenAI and advanced analytics capabilities
• Build reusable AI accelerators, frameworks, and playbooks
• Support GTM initiatives, innovation programs, and capability development
Required Qualifications
Experience
• 15+ years in AI/ML, Data Architecture, or Advanced Analytics
• Strong experience in Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences domain (mandatory)
• Proven expertise in enterprise-level AI solution design and delivery.
Technical Skills
• Expertise in:
o Python, R, SQL
o Machine Learning & Deep Learning frameworks
• Experience with:
o Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
o Data platforms (data lakes, warehouses)
o MLOps and AI deployment frameworks
• Strong exposure to GenAI / LLM ecosystems and AI governance
Domain Expertise
• Strong understanding of pharma data and analytics across:
o Commercial & Omnichannel
o Medical Affairs
Leadership & Communication
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to translate complex AI solutions into business outcomes
• Experience working with global cross-functional teams

• Exposure to pharma digital transformation and GTM strategy
• Strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on architecture capability
