About the Role

Indegene is looking for an experienced Review Committee / Pharma Editor to work on-site at our pharmaceutical client’s location. The ideal candidate will have strong editing and proofreading skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience working in a medical or pharmaceutical environment.

Candidates with a strong background in English, Life Sciences, and pharmaceutical or medical content editing are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and apply relevant style guides and brand guidelines to edit documents according to client expectations.
• Review content for language, style, spelling, grammar, formatting, and consistency to ensure readability with minimal managerial intervention.
• Understand the content, story, and target audience to ensure documentation is logical, clear, and well presented.
• Review content across projects for overall writing quality and consistency.
• Identify and flag data conflicts or inconsistencies within documents.
• Review punctuation, spelling, word choice, formatting, and grammar to ensure high-quality content with minimal errors.
• Ensure assigned tasks are completed within established timelines and meet required quality standards.
• Follow all applicable checklists, standard procedures, and quality requirements.
• Proactively raise flags regarding potential issues or exigencies and track any changes in scope.

Desired Profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Prior experience as an Editor, Proofreader, or Pharma/Medical Editor.
• Strong understanding of medical and pharmaceutical terminology and content.
• Candidates from non-medical backgrounds with a strong understanding of medical/pharmaceutical sciences may also be considered, particularly those with experience editing or proofreading clinical or pharmaceutical content.
• Prior experience working in a pharmaceutical, medical, healthcare, or related environment is preferred.
• Experience reviewing promotional or medical content for pharmaceutical clients is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline; or
• M.A. in English Literature with relevant experience in pharmaceutical content editing, proofreading, or review of promotional materials.
• Relevant experience in reviewing and editing pharmaceutical or medical content is preferred.
