About Indegene
Indegene is a technology-led healthcare solutions provider driven by a purpose to enable healthcare organizations to be future ready. We offer accelerated global growth opportunities for talent that is bold, industrious and nimble. Our culture celebrates entrepreneurship and is guided by passion, innovation, collaboration and empathy. At the convergence of healthcare and technology, we seek leaders who want to create lasting institutions and make a meaningful difference for our clients, employees and the healthcare industry.

Job Description
We are seeking an expert Directoer -Web Competency to be the global subject matter authority for Indegene's web and digital channel practice — and to use that expertise to grow the business. Based on the East Coast, this role combines deep hands-on knowledge of pharma web ecosystems with a clear commercial mandate: win new clients, expand the web footprint in existing global accounts, and establish Indegene as the go-to partner for end-to-end web strategy, build, and operations.
This is not a generic business development role. The ideal candidate is a recognized web practitioner in the pharma/life sciences space — someone who has designed web architectures, led CMS implementations, shaped digital channel strategies, and delivered enterprise-scale web programs for global pharma brands. That deep credibility is what opens doors, wins competitive deals, and grows long-term client partnerships. You will work across US, European, and international markets, engaging pharma marketing, digital, and IT leaders as a peer and trusted advisor.

Key Responsibilities
Web Strategy & Advisory
•    Serve as Indegene's foremost web domain expert globally, advising clients on 'web as a channel' strategy, CMS platform selection, design system architecture, and digital experience transformation.
•    Lead web landscape assessments and digital maturity evaluations for prospective and existing clients, identifying strategic gaps and translating them into compelling Indegene engagement opportunities.
•    Define web channel roadmaps — spanning headless CMS, composable DXP, global-to-local templating, and accessibility (ADA/WCAG 2.1) — that anchor Indegene's value proposition in strategic client conversations.
•    Stay at the forefront of pharma web and digital trends across global markets, bringing point-of-view content, benchmarks, and innovation ideas that differentiate Indegene in competitive situations.
New Business Development
•    Leverage deep web expertise to open and convert new client relationships across global pharma and biotech accounts, leading discovery conversations that position Indegene as a strategic web partner from the first meeting.
•    Build and maintain a global pipeline of web capability opportunities, owning the full sales cycle from initial outreach through solution design, proposal, and contract close.
•    Lead or co-lead RFP/RFI responses for web and digital engagements — owning the technical solution narrative, platform recommendations, and delivery model, while partnering with commercial teams on pricing and contracting.
•    Represent Indegene at global industry events, pharma digital forums, and CMS platform partner ecosystems (AEM, Contentstack, Veeva) to build visibility and generate new leads.
Account Growth & Expansion
•    Grow web revenue within existing global accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities — expanding from single-brand or single-market engagements to multi-brand, multi-region web programs.
•    Use delivery knowledge and client intimacy to proactively spot unmet web and digital needs, shaping them into scoped proposals before clients go to market.
•    Partner with Engagement Leads and delivery teams to ensure execution quality reinforces the commercial relationship and creates the conditions for organic growth and referrals.
•    Lead commercial negotiations for renewals and scope expansions, structuring deals that are competitive, scalable, and aligned to Indegene's delivery model.
CMS & Technology Leadership
•    Maintain deep, current expertise across enterprise CMS platforms — Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Contentstack, Brightspot, Drupal — including architecture, implementation patterns, and migration approaches.
•    Guide clients on headless CMS and composable digital experience platform (DXP) strategies, including API-driven content delivery, DAM integration, and personalization frameworks.
•    Oversee technical solutioning for web proposals and engagements, ensuring architecture recommendations are practical, scalable, and grounded in Indegene's delivery capabilities.
•    Leverage Indegene's Microsoft partnership to advise on SharePoint-based intranet and collaboration portal solutions where relevant to client needs.
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
•    Build and sustain trusted relationships with VP- and Director-level stakeholders across marketing, digital, IT, and medical affairs at global pharma accounts — spanning US, European, and other key markets.
•    Communicate complex web and digital concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical client audiences, adapting the narrative to resonate with business, IT, and procurement stakeholders alike.
•    Maintain a strong global network within the life sciences digital ecosystem, including agency partners, platform vendors, and pharma digital communities.
•    Feed market intelligence on client priorities, competitor moves, and emerging web trends back into Indegene's capability and go-to-market strategy.
Requirements
Education & Experience
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Digital, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
•    10+ years of experience in web strategy, CMS delivery, or digital channel leadership within a life sciences services, digital agency, or pharma marketing services environment.
•    Minimum 5 years in a client-facing role with direct accountability for growing web or digital engagements — a track record of both technical leadership and commercial impact.
•    Established relationships with digital, marketing, and IT leaders across global pharma and biotech organizations (e.g., Pfizer, J&J/Janssen, BMS, Merck, Sanofi, GSK, Novartis, Roche, AstraZeneca, Regeneron, Moderna).
Technical Skills
•    Deep hands-on expertise with enterprise CMS platforms — Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Contentstack, Brightspot, or Drupal — including implementation, configuration, migration, and governance.
•    Proven experience with headless CMS architectures, composable DXP frameworks, API-driven digital experiences, and DAM integration.
•    Strong working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and responsive/mobile-first web design principles.
•    Thorough understanding of ADA/WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and pharma-specific web regulatory requirements — US MLR, EU country-level review processes, Veeva Vault PromoMats, ISI/PI fair balance.
•    Familiarity with web performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics), and QA/regression testing methodologies.
Skills & Competencies
•    Recognized web domain expert in the pharma/life sciences space — credible with both client technical architects and brand marketing VPs.
•    Commercially driven: experienced in shaping, pricing, and winning multi-year, multi-million-dollar web services engagements.
•    Strong executive presence — able to lead strategic client conversations, present at C-suite level, and navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments.
•    Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, self-motivated, and able to operate with autonomy in identifying and pursuing growth opportunities.
•    Proficiency with project management and CRM tools (Jira, Salesforce, Microsoft 365).
•    Willingness to travel internationally and domestically for client meetings and industry events (estimated 30–40% travel, including international).
Preferred Qualifications
•    Adobe Certified Expert (AEM Sites) or equivalent certification in Contentstack, Drupal, or Sitecore.
•    Experience with Veeva Vault PromoMats integration and pharma MLR workflow configuration within web platforms.
•    Familiarity with modular content strategies, global-to-local web templating, and omnichannel content reuse across web, email, and rep-triggered channels.
•    Prior experience running large-scale managed web operations programs (multi-brand, multi-market, 50+ person delivery teams) in a pharma outsourcing context.
