Functional Consultant – Digital Engineering Solutions


Job Description:

We are looking for a Functional Consultant to drive and grow our Digital Engineering capabilities by designing and implementing scalable, technology-enabled solutions. This is a client-facing role that requires a blend of strategic solutioning, stakeholder management, and the ability to expand a practice area through business enablement and delivery oversight.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution, guiding clients through digital transformation journeys while ensuring solutions align with organizational objectives and industry standards.

Must Have

Key Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement & Solutioning
• Stakeholder Management: Engage with client stakeholders across business, marketing, and technology teams to identify core requirements and pain points.
• Discovery & Strategy: Lead workshops and discovery sessions to define solution approaches and strategic frameworks.
• Solution Design: Translate business needs into clear solution concepts, architectures, and implementation roadmaps.
• Presentations: Deliver capability demonstrations and solution pitches to senior client leadership.
2. Capability Development & Business Enablement
• Practice Growth: Help build and scale the organization’s digital engineering service offerings and solution frameworks.
• Growth Support: Contribute to RFP/RFI responses, proposal development, and strategic positioning of capabilities.
• Best Practices: Develop accelerators, reusable assets, and standardized methodologies to improve delivery efficiency.
3. Delivery Oversight
• Technical Liaison: Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams during project execution.
• Functional Expertise: Provide guidance to ensure the final implementation remains aligned with the client’s original business vision.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee project milestones to ensure solutions meet functional requirements and performance standards.
Required Skills & Experience
• Consulting Excellence: Proven experience in a client-facing consulting role with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Solutioning Expertise: Strong ability to decompose complex business problems into actionable technology-enabled solutions.
• Communication: Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience guiding cross-functional teams and supporting the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Domain Awareness: Understanding of the Pharma Commercialization Lifecycle or similar complex, regulated industry value chains.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
• Generative AI & Innovation: Understanding of GenAI frameworks and Vibe Coding (AI-assisted development) for rapid prototyping.
• Consent & Privacy: Familiarity with Consent Management Platforms (e.g., OneTrust), Cookie Consent (CCM), and Universal Preference Management (UCPM).
• MarTech Ecosystems: Knowledge of CRM, CDP, and marketing automation platforms.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with privacy regulations such as GDPR or CCPA.

You have the consultant’s mindset—the ability to navigate ambiguity, drive capability growth, and ensure that digital engineering solutions deliver tangible business ROI.

Data & Innovation evolution
• Work with D&I and Solution Leads to evolve existing solutions and create new ones
• Track industry trends and capabilties in order to evolve solutions
• Oversee and guard the standardization of delivery processes
• Work closely with D&I leadership to co-create future org structure, product strategy and team needs
Your Experience
• A minimum of 7- 10 years in a similar role within a global organisation that works with
international clients
• Strong working knowledge of solution and product development
• Distinct experience and passion for the management and mentorship of team members, including training needs
• Impeccable project delivery / management, including financials, reporting and tracking
• Strong interest and curiosity in anything related to customer experience management and experience design
• Ability to understand and implement strong process and governance frameworks keeping in mind both short term and long-term objectives of the organization
Desired skills
• Strong interpersonal, listening, critical thinking, presentation, and writing skills in English.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and someone who takes pride in delivering outstanding work.
 
This is a hybrid role based out of our Bengaluru office. All candidates must be eligible to work in the
relevant location.
