Offshore Japanese Delivery Manager (Client-Facing)
Role Overview
As an Offshore Japanese Delivery Manager, you will lead and manage end-to-end delivery of web/digital projects for Japanese clients, ensuring seamless communication, timely execution, and adherence to quality standards. This role requires strong project management expertise, client engagement skills, and production oversight.
 
Key Responsibilities
Project Understanding & Planning
Comprehend project scope, objectives, and deliverables thoroughly.
Assist in planning, scheduling, and defining timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
Act as the primary offshore point of contact for Japanese clients.
Communicate project requirements clearly and promptly to internal teams and stakeholders.
Liaise continuously with clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Delivery & Production Oversight
Oversee production activities to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and quality standards.
Monitor project dependencies, risks, and critical paths; proactively resolve issues and conflicts.
Reporting & Governance
Develop and deliver regular progress reports, proposals, requirement documents, and presentations.
Define cadence and content of status reporting; analyze outcomes and troubleshoot problem areas.
Process Excellence
Establish and communicate project success criteria across all relevant parties.
Conduct post-project evaluations to identify key learnings and improvement areas.
Implement best practices, templates, and tools for efficient project execution and governance.
 
Qualifications
Graduate with 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably managing web/digital projects end-to-end.
Fluent in Japanese and English (written and verbal) for client communication.
Proficient in project management tools like ServiceNow, JIRA, and Microsoft Office suite.
Strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in global team settings.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience in Life Sciences or healthcare organizations is a strong advantage.
Advanced MS Excel proficiency is essential.
Enthusiastic about networking and staying updated on technological advancements.

Good to have

•    Experience in Project Management tools, familiar in MS office, working knowledge of latest technologies.
•    Experience in SVN, Confluence, JIRA, Kanban boards or similar service mgmt would be an added advantage.
•    Experience at working both independently and in a team, collaborative environment is essential.
•    Strong written and oral communication / presentation skills
•    Passion for networking and updating with the latest technology developments and relate it to various projects.
•    Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products, able to learn, understand, and apply the same.
•    Experience in Life-science organizations would be an added advantage.
•    Ability to create RCA documents and manage escalations.
•    Any Bachelor’s Degree or Master Degree
