Job Description:
We are seeking a senior GEO / AIO expert to define, lead, and scale how brands are discovered, represented, and trusted across AI driven answer engines and generative platforms (e.g., Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Copilot, Perplexity, Claude etc).
This role is not limited to SEO execution. It sits at the intersection of search strategy, content credibility, entity architecture, platform behavior, and go to market solutioning, especially for regulated industries such as healthcare and life sciences.
The role requires client leadership, strategic pitch ownership, operational governance, and enablement of adjacent teams, while shaping market facing GEO/AIO offerings.

Must Have
Key Responsibilities :
1. Client Handling & Program Ownership
• Serve as the primary GEO / AIO subject matter expert for assigned clients and strategic accounts.
• Own end to end GEO engagement delivery, including:
o Discovery & audits (AI search readiness, entity presence, citation coverage)
o Strategic roadmap definition
o Ongoing optimization and governance models
• Partner with client stakeholders (Digital, Brand, Medical, IT, Legal/Compliance) to:
o Align GEO initiatives to business objectives
o Set realistic expectations around AI visibility and influence
• Present clear, defensible narratives on how AI engines surface, summarize, and cite information.
• Act as a risk aware advisor, especially in regulated contexts (MLR, fair balance, scientific accuracy).
2. Strategic Pitches & Capability Enablement
• Lead or co lead GEO/AIO sections in strategic client pitches, RFPs, and proactive proposals.
• Translate AI search trends into clear client value propositions (visibility, trust, influence, preparedness).
• Design pitch ready frameworks, including:
o GEO maturity models
o AI readiness assessments
o Measurement and validation approaches
• Enable internal sales, solutioning, and account teams through:
o Playbooks
o Pitch decks
o FAQs and objection handling guides
• Contribute to thought leadership (internal and external) on GEO/AIO evolution.
3. Governance, Quality & Operational Excellence
• Define governance frameworks for GEO programs, including:
o Content credibility and citation standards
o Entity consistency and terminology controls
o Review and update cadences for AI visible content
• Establish quality benchmarks for:
o AI readiness of content
o Schema and structured data deployment
o Author, reviewer, and publisher signaling
• Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and checklists for scalable delivery.
• Ensure compliance with medical, legal, privacy, and accessibility standards.
• Act as the escalation point for complex GEO risks, conflicts, or gray areas.
4. Solutioning & GTM (Go To Market)
• Shape and evolve GEO / AIO solutions and accelerators, including:
o AI visibility audits
o Entity and knowledge graph optimization offerings
o AI response monitoring and diagnostics
• Collaborate with leadership to define:
o Service scope and packaging
o Commercial models and pricing bands
o Differentiation vs. traditional SEO offerings
• Identify cross sell and upsell opportunities across SEO, content, analytics, and platform services.
• Support pilot programs and early adopter clients to create repeatable case studies.
• Provide inputs for productization and long term roadmap of GEO capabilities.

Required Technical Qualifications :
1. Strong understanding of how generative AI systems consume, synthesize, and present information, including:
• Training vs. retrieval based models
• Source citation behaviors
• Limitations and non deterministic outputs
2. Deep grounding in advanced SEO fundamentals, including:
• Search intent and query semantics
• Entity based optimization
• Structured data and schema strategies
• E E A T / credibility signaling
3. Experience working with:
• Large content ecosystems
• Authoritative medical/scientific content
• Publisher and third party citation environments
4. Knowledge of analytics frameworks to assess:
• Visibility in AI answers
• Citation presence
• Influence indicators (not just traffic)
Basic Qualification :
5. Minimum 12 years in digital marketing, with significant exposure to SEO & GEO Capabilities.
6. Experience working with US and/or EU clients will be a strong advantage.
7. Strong background in an agency environment with a track record of leading SEO & GEO Capabilities.
8. Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and team leadership skills.
