Role Purpose
The Data Integration Associate (DI) plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant data flows between clinical and financial systems that trigger investigator grant and site payments. The role supports end-to-end clinical payment operations by validating integration logic, monitoring data quality, and resolving discrepancies across systems such as EDC, CTMS, IRT, and payment platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and validate data integrations between EDC, CTMS, IRT, and clinical payment systems supporting investigator grant payments.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of visit, milestone, and subject data used as payment triggers.
Perform routine data reconciliation and exception analysis to identify mismatches impacting payment generation.
Investigate and resolve data flow issues in collaboration with Clinical Operations, Study Management, IT, and payment operations teams.
Support initial study setup and ongoing amendments by validating integration mappings and test outputs.
Maintain detailed audit trails, validation logs, and documentation in compliance with SOPs and regulatory expectations.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation activities during system enhancements, releases, and transitions.
Participate in parallel run activities by comparing outputs between legacy and new payment systems and documenting variances.
Adhere to data privacy, security, and compliance requirements including GDPR, SOX, and internal quality standards.
Provide regular status updates, metrics, and issue summaries to the Data Integration Lead and program stakeholders.
What You Will Bring to the Role
Hands-on experience working with clinical data systems such as EDC and CTMS.
Understanding of how clinical data drives investigator grant and site payment processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to interpret data flows, integration mappings, and reconciliation reports.
Comfort working with cross-functional teams including Clinical Operations, Finance, and IT.
Strong documentation skills and discipline in maintaining audit-ready records.
Effective communication skills to explain data issues and resolutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Your Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience supporting clinical systems, data integration, or clinical operations within a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech organization.
Exposure to clinical trial lifecycle concepts including visits, milestones, and site payments preferred.
Experience supporting system testing, UAT, or validation activities is an advantage.
Success Measures
Accuracy and stability of data feeds supporting investigator payment triggers.
Timely resolution of data discrepancies impacting payment cycles.
Compliance with SOPs, validation requirements, and audit expectations.
Positive feedback from payment operations and clinical stakeholders on data reliability and responsiveness.
