Job Title: Jr UI/UX Designer
Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior UI/UX Designer with a foundational understanding of design systems to support website design and digital experience projects. You will work closely with senior designers, developers, and cross-functional teams to create visually engaging, user-friendly, and responsive web experiences aligned with brand and business goals.
This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their expertise in UI/UX, visual design, and scalable design systems within a collaborative digital product or agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
Website Design & Execution: Assist in creating high-fidelity website designs, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that align with project requirements and brand guidelines.
Design System Utilization: Work with existing design systems and UI libraries to maintain consistency across digital products. Support the creation and updating of reusable components and responsive layouts.
Visual Design: Apply core visual design principles including hierarchy, spacing, balance, contrast, typography, color theory, and Gestalt principles to create clean and engaging interfaces.
User-Centered Design: Support the implementation of UX/UI best practices to ensure intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly experiences across devices and screen sizes.
Collaboration: Collaborate with senior designers, developers, and product stakeholders to understand requirements, iterate on feedback, and ensure design feasibility.
Stakeholder Communication: Present design ideas and rationale clearly within internal reviews and team discussions while incorporating feedback effectively.
Qualifications
Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in UI/UX Design, Visual Design, or related digital design roles. Internship or freelance experience in website or product design is a plus.
Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Understanding of responsive web design, accessibility basics, and familiarity with HTML/CSS principles is preferred.
Design System Knowledge: Exposure to working with design systems, reusable components, and maintaining visual consistency across digital interfaces.
Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing UI/UX and visual design work, especially website or responsive design projects. Academic, freelance, or personal projects are acceptable.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, good communication skills, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
