The Role
We’re looking for a Associate Product Manager who builds. Not just scopes, not just roadmaps — someone who can open a cursor IDE, spin up a working prototype with an LLM at the helm, and put something real in front of a customer within days. If you think in prompts as naturally as you think in user stories, and you’ve shipped applications using AI-assisted development, this role is for you.
You’ll sit at the intersection of product strategy and hands-on AI application building. You’ll own the full lifecycle of our AI-powered products — from identifying customer pain points to deploying working solutions — and you’ll often be the one who builds the first version yourself.
What You’ll Do
Prototype & Build — First, Fast, and Iteratively
Use vibe coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or similar) to rapidly prototype and ship functional AI-powered applications without waiting on engineering cycles
Translate customer pain points directly into working MVPs using GenAI APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, etc.), no-code/low-code platforms, and AI-assisted development workflows
Treat prototyping as a discovery tool — build to learn, not just to demonstrate
Iterate on live applications based on real user feedback, with the ability to make changes yourself
Define and Own AI Product Experiences
Design and own end-to-end GenAI-powered product experiences: prompts, workflows, retrieval layers, guardrails, output evaluation, and user trust mechanisms
Translate fuzzy business problems into well-scoped AI use cases (summarization, extraction, Q&A, generation, agent workflows, etc.) with clear success criteria
Write detailed prompt specifications, evaluation rubrics, and acceptance criteria for LLM-powered features
Work with engineering teams to move from your proof-of-concept to production-grade systems
Drive the Product Lifecycle
Own the product roadmap from ideation through launch and post-launch iteration
Lead agile ceremonies — sprint planning, backlog grooming, prioritization — with a bias toward shipping and learning
Define and track KPIs for both product outcomes and AI-specific performance metrics (accuracy, relevance, latency, user trust, hallucination rates)
Drive continuous improvement through A/B testing, user research, and data-driven insights
Engage Stakeholders
Serve as the connective tissue between customers, engineering, data/AI teams, design, sales, and leadership
Translate what you’ve built into compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
Gather and synthesize feedback loops from customers, pilots, and internal teams to sharpen the roadmap
Build a High-Performance Product Culture
Mentor junior PMs on AI-first product thinking and hands-on prototyping practices
Champion responsible, ethical use of GenAI — bias awareness, privacy, transparency, and human-in-the-loop design
Bring a builder’s mindset to every sprint, every stakeholder conversation, every product decision
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have: You Actually Build Things
You have shipped applications or prototypes using vibe coding tools and AI APIs — this is non-negotiable
You’re comfortable writing prompts, chaining LLM calls, wiring up simple backends, and deploying to a staging environment
You’ve used tools like Claude Code Cursor, Lovable, or equivalent to build real working software
You can demonstrate something you’ve built — a working prototype, an internal tool, a side project powered by AI
Core Experience
6+ years in product management, tech solution building, or client implementation in B2B environments
Proven track record building and scaling products with measurable customer impact
Strong understanding of the modern GenAI ecosystem: LLMs, RAG, agents, agentic SDKs, function calling, embeddings, evaluation frameworks
Experience defining AI product requirements: prompt design, model selection tradeoffs, context window management, output quality vs. cost considerations
Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Pharma experience is a strong plus
The Kind of Person You Are
You default to building over theorizing — your first instinct when you hear a problem is to mock something up
You communicate complex AI concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders without dumbing them down
You hold strong opinions about product quality and user trust, especially in AI-driven experiences
You’re a self-starter who thrives with autonomy and moves fast without breaking things that matter
You think carefully about the ethics and risks of AI outputs, especially in a healthcare context

A collaborative product and engineering team that values hands-on contributors
Fast-track career growth in a profitable, rapidly scaling global organization
The combination of startup-level excitement with the stability of an established, purpose-driven company
At Indegene, we hire the best and trust them from day one. If you’re a PM who builds, we want to hear from you.
