Job Title: Senior Software Engineer – Digital Analytics
Description:
The Software Engineer – Digital Analytics will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing digital analytics solutions across web and digital platforms. The role focuses on GTM-based tagging, GA4 implementation, data quality, and analytics use cases, working closely with product, marketing, and analytics teams to ensure accurate and scalable measurement.
Must Have
Key Responsibilities
Tag Management & Implementation
Implement and manage Google Tag Manager (GTM) containers
Configure tags, triggers, variables, and custom JavaScript
Implement GA4 event tracking, parameters, user properties, and key events
Support advanced tracking use cases (forms, videos, scroll depth, downloads, cross-domain)
Follow defined data layer standards and measurement frameworks
GA4 Configuration & Reporting Support
Configure GA4 properties, events, conversions, and audiences
Validate data using GA4 DebugView, GTM Preview, and browser debugging tools
Support standard and custom reports in GA4 and Looker Studio
Assist in analyzing traffic, engagement, and conversion trends
Data Quality, QA & Governance
Perform tagging QA and post-release validation
Monitor data discrepancies and troubleshoot tracking issues
Maintain documentation such as tracking plans, event lists, and QA checklists
Ensure compliance with privacy, consent, and governance guidelines
Collaboration & Delivery
Work closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements
Translate business requirements into technical tracking solutions
Support releases, UAT, and production deployments
Participate in sprint planning and delivery ceremonies

Desired Profile:
Strong hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Solid knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) implementation
Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and DOM concepts
Experience with event-based tracking and data layers
Hands-on experience with debugging tools (GA4 DebugView, browser dev tools)
Good to Have
Experience with Tealium iQ or other tag managers
Exposure to server-side GTM or cookieless tracking
Experience with Looker Studio or other BI tools
Basic knowledge of consent management platforms (OneTrust, Cookiebot, etc.)
Familiarity with BigQuery or SQL
Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Problem-solving mindset
