Job Title Senior Software Engineer – Analytics Implementation
Experience: 6–9 years of relevant experience in digital analytics implementation

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Analytics Implementation who will own end-to-end analytics implementations across platforms and lead complex tracking initiatives. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in GTM, Adobe Analytics, Tealium, and GA4, strong JavaScript and HTML skills, and the ability to guide best practices across teams. The ideal candidate will act as a technical SME, ensuring scalable, accurate, and privacy-compliant data collection.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Ownership & Delivery
Lead end-to-end analytics implementations using Google Tag Manager (GTM), Adobe Launch, and Tealium iQ
Design and implement advanced GA4 event-based tracking (custom events, parameters, user properties)
Architect and optimize Adobe Analytics implementations (eVars, props, events, processing rules, classifications)
Define and govern data layer standards for scalable and future-ready tracking
Develop and maintain custom JavaScript solutions for complex tracking scenarios
Support and optimize tracking for Single Page Applications (SPA)
Quality, Debugging & Optimization
Own implementation QA, validation, and troubleshooting across environments
Perform deep debugging using browser dev tools, Adobe Debugger, GA4 DebugView, and network requests
Proactively identify data discrepancies, tag performance issues, and tracking gaps
Drive improvements in tracking efficiency, performance, and reliability
Collaboration & Leadership
Partner closely with product, marketing, engineering, and analytics teams
Translate business and measurement requirements into technical implementation designs
Review and sign off on tracking plans, SDRs, and implementation documentation
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and code reviews
Act as a go-to technical expert for analytics implementation queries
Governance, Privacy & Best Practices
Ensure implementations align with data privacy, consent, and compliance requirements (GDPR, CMPs)
Support tag governance, version control, and release management
Contribute to internal best practices, templates, and reusable components
Required Technical Skills
Must-Have
Extensive hands-on experience with:
Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Adobe Analytics (Adobe Launch)
Tealium iQ
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Advanced JavaScript (custom variables, event handling, DOM manipulation)
Strong HTML / DOM knowledge
Deep understanding of data layers and event-driven tracking
Proven experience debugging complex analytics issues
Good to have
Experience with server-side tagging (GTM Server-Side / Adobe Server-Side)
Exposure to Consent Management Platforms (CMPs) and cookieless tracking
Experience with A/B testing, personalization, or experimentation tools
Familiarity with backend data flows, APIs, and CDPs
Understanding of analytics reporting and data validation workflows
Soft Skills & Leadership Competencies
Strong ownership mindset with attention to detail
Ability to influence and guide teams without direct authority
Clear and confident communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proactive in identifying risks, gaps, and optimization opportunities
Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel and meet delivery timelines
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
Certifications in GA4, Adobe Analytics, or Tealium (preferred)
Experience working in enterprise-scale or multi-brand digital ecosystems
