Job Title: UX Scrum Master
Position Overview
We are seeking a UX Scrum Master to support our in-house enterprise design team. In this role, you will facilitate Agile delivery for our user experience team, optimizing workflows from initial research through final UI design. You will champion pure UX design methodologies and build a seamless operational bridge between our product design tracks and engineering sprints.
Key Responsibilities
Design Track Delivery: Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives customized for user research and UX/UI design lifecycles.
Figma Workflow Optimization: Coordinate design handoffs, asset libraries, and review cycles within Figma to keep design components organized and actionable.
Jira Management: Maintain a highly structured Jira board tailored for design tracking, ensuring user stories, design tasks, and research spikes are clearly defined.
Agile Coaching: Mentor the in-house design team on Lean UX and Agile principles, helping designers estimate effort and manage capacity.
Engineering Alignment: Partner with technical Scrum Masters to ensure final design specs are fully groomed and ready before development sprints begin.
Facilitate Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings.
Remove Impediments: Actively identify and resolve blockers that halt team progress.
Backlog Management: Partner with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is appropriately groomed and prioritized.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of overall experience in UX Design, 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager explicitly supporting in-house product design teams.
UX Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of user-centered design phases, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, and interactive prototyping.
Tooling Expertise: Advanced, hands-on proficiency with Jira (for Agile tracking) and Figma (for understanding design workspace collaboration).
Communication: Exceptional collaborative and servant-leadership skills to align cross-functional product, design, and development stakeholders.
Agile Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Scrum framework, empirical process control, and continuous integration/deployment environments.
