Lead UX Writer
The role requires a mid-senior to senior, technical UX writer specialized in design systems, with proven experience in:
Operating at a mid-senior or senior level, with leadership capabilities and ownership of technical and design system WoW documentation
Strong communication with product and UX leads, with the ability to coordinate, influence, and execute strategic initiatives
Ability to make decisions from a technical and strategic UX writing perspective
Creating and maintaining structured, consistent, and scalable design system documentation
Developing end-to-end component guidelines
Defining and revamping information architecture for documentation platforms (not marketing/commercial sites)
Establishing and leading design system Ways of Working (WoW) with designers
Driving documentation modernization and content strategy
Leading content migration across platforms
Writing documentation across technical, compliance, and marketing layers
Creating content with a clear vision for supporting visuals and examples
Developing educational materials, including video scripts for design system usage
Demonstrating deep expertise in design system ecosystems, including awareness of leading design systems and evolving documentation standards
Being enterprise-level ready, with experience in robust, multi-brand design systems (not basic style guides)
Strong Figma proficiency, with the ability to review components, align documentation with design specs, and collaborate effectively with designers
(Preferred) Working with Git and CMS platforms for content management
Supporting microcopy and UX writing guidelines for components themselves, noting that this is a secondary responsibility, not the primary focus of the role
Availability for a minimum 4-hour overlap with 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET working hours
