Roles & Responsibilities:
Role Summary
The GSVC Content Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting Merck’s Global Scientific and Value Content (GSVC) Team. This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of high-quality Medical Information letters, Slide Decks, Verbal Response Documents, and other scientific or value-related content for specified products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Primary Responsibilities
• Content Management:
o Maintain and update a comprehensive database of GSVC content, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
o Regularly review and revise content based on expiration dates, key data releases, and emerging scientific literature.
• Literature Search:
o Conduct thorough literature searches using various databases and resources to identify relevant articles and data that support GSVC initiatives.
o Analyze and synthesize findings to update and enhance existing content.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on content strategy and address any issues that arise.
o Elevate critical issues to management as appropriate, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
• Quality Assurance:
o Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity and reliability of all GSVC content.
Minimum Qualifications
• Education:
o Advanced scientific, medical, or healthcare degree (Masters or equivalent) is required.
• Experience:
o 2-3 years of relevant experience in medical writing, scientific communication, or a related field.
o Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is preferred.
• Skills:
o Proficient in written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex scientific information clearly and concisely.
o Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
o Familiarity with literature databases (e.g., PubMed, Embase) and scientific research methodologies.
• Technical Proficiency:
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and content management systems.
