Role: Pega Lead Consultant


Job Description: Indegene is seeking a skilled Pega Consultant to design, configure, and implement Pega-based case management and workflow solutions as part of enterprise-scale digital transformation programs.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in Pega BPM, case lifecycle management, and system integrations, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions aligned with business requirements.

Must Have

Key Responsibilities
1. Pega Application Development & Configuration
•    Design and configure Pega case types, workflows, and business rules 
•    Implement end-to-end case lifecycle management, including SLAs and escalations 
•    Develop reusable components following Pega best practices and guardrails 

2. Workflow & Case Management Implementation
•    Translate business requirements into Pega workflows and process models 
•    Configure decisioning, routing, and automation logic 
•    Ensure optimal performance and scalability of workflows 

3. Integration & Data Management
•    Implement integrations with enterprise systems (APIs, web services, databases) 
•    Support data mapping, transformation, and validation 
•    Ensure seamless data flow across systems and applications 

4. Testing & Quality Assurance
•    Perform unit testing, system testing, and UAT support 
•    Identify, track, and resolve defects during development and testing phases 
•    Ensure adherence to quality standards and deployment readiness 

5. Production Support & Stabilization
•    Troubleshoot and resolve production issues 
•    Support post-deployment stabilization and performance tuning 
•    Collaborate with support teams to ensure system reliability 


6. Stakeholder Collaboration
•    Work closely with business analysts, architects, and technical teams 
•    Provide inputs on solution design and feasibility 
•    Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies effectively 


Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 

Experience
•    4–8 years of hands-on experience in Pega development and implementation 
•    Experience working in enterprise-scale BPM / workflow projects 


Technical Skills
•    Strong expertise in: 
o    Pega BPM platform (case management, workflows) 
o    Case lifecycle design and implementation 
•    Experience in: 
o    Integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, database connectivity) 
o    Data modeling and validation 
o    Debugging and performance tuning 

Good to have

Functional Skills
•    Understanding of business process management (BPM) concepts 
•    Experience in requirement analysis and solution design 
•    Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies 

Behavioral Skills
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking 
•    Effective communication and stakeholder management 
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment 

Nice to Have / Certifications
•    Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) 
•    Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) 
•    Experience working on large enterprise transformation programs 
•    Exposure to cloud deployments and DevOps practices
