Role Summary
The Head of GenAI Production Transformation will lead the design and implementation of account-agnostic, centralized GenAI-powered production teams (pods) for marketing asset creation (emailers, detail aids, websites, banners, and related omnichannel content). This role is critical to our shift from siloed, labor-intensive Tier 3 execution to a highly automated, efficient production hub that supports all Tiers of strategic client partnerships.
The successful candidate will combine deep GenAI technical expertise with strong change management capabilities and pharma marketing domain knowledge. They will conceptualize and deliver a simplified, scalable production automation system that dramatically improves efficiency, enables significant workforce optimization, increases revenue per employee, and delivers superior SLAs to clients while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and regulatory adherence (e.g., MLR processes, Veeva integration).
Key Responsibilities
• Design and stand up centralized GenAI production pods (Hub model) that are account-agnostic, leveraging prompt engineering, AI orchestration, automated QA, and integrated project management tools.
• Re-design and implement core asset production workflows with GenAI and AI agents to drive efficiency in operations. Identify appropriate tooling for enterprise to implement the workflow.
• Develop and implement a framework for ROI measurement considering token/infrastructure/platform/licensing and staffing costs
• Lead end-to-end automation of asset production workflows, integrating GenAI platforms with existing systems while ensuring compliance and auditability.
• Drive change management across production teams: role redesign, reskilling/upskilling programs, and responsible workforce transition to achieve targeted headcount optimization.
• Collaborate closely with Strategic Client Partners, Strategy, and Operations to ensure production pods deliver rapid, high-quality assets that support brand marketing and customer experience goals.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of GenAI specialists, prompt strategists, AI QA/compliance experts, and delivery orchestrators.
• Establish governance, quality frameworks, and continuous improvement processes for GenAI outputs (hallucination control, brand consistency, regulatory safety).
• Partner with IT, Finance, HR, and Legal on technology selection, investment cases, data/privacy/security, and commercial model implications.
• Monitor industry trends in GenAI/ Agentic AI for marketing/pharma and drive innovation in production capabilities.
Strategic Goals (First 12–18 Months)
1. Successfully design, pilot, and scale centralized GenAI production pods that handle the majority of marketing asset volume with minimal manual intervention.
2. Achieve significant workforce optimization (target ~50–60% reduction in traditional production roles) through responsible automation and role evolution, while maintaining or improving quality and compliance.
3. Deliver measurable productivity gains leading to increased revenue per employee (target 2–3x improvement in production-related metrics).
4. Improve customer SLAs (e.g., faster turnaround, higher consistency, fewer revisions) and client satisfaction/NPS for production deliverables.
5. Embed a culture of continuous automation, data-driven optimization, and collaboration with client-facing teams to support the broader strategic shift.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Core Business Impact
• Workforce Optimization: Achieve X% net reduction in production headcount (phased, with successful reskilling/transition metrics) while maintaining output volume/quality.
• Revenue per Employee (Production Operations): Increase by X% within 12 months through efficiency gains and capacity for higher-value work.
• SLA & Efficiency Metrics: Reduce average asset production time by X% (e.g., time-to-first-draft); achieve ≥95% on-time delivery and ≤Y% revision rate; improve client CSAT by X points.
Operational & Quality
• Automation Adoption & Productivity: X% of assets generated via GenAI pods; productivity per production FTE (assets per person/month) increased by X–X times.
• Quality & Compliance: Zero critical compliance incidents; ≥98% first-pass acceptance rate in MLR/review processes; 95% external FTR for GenAI assets, strong audit trail and governance score.
• Cost Efficiency: Reduction in cost-per-asset by X% while maintaining or improving margins.
Change & Organizational
• Successful change management: ≥80% employee engagement score in production teams during transition; high completion rate of reskilling programs; positive feedback from retained talent and operational leaders.
• Pilot-to-Scale Milestones: Successful delivery of initial pilots within first 3–6 months, full rollout within 9–12 months.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Implementation of X new automation features or process optimizations per quarter, tracked via internal dashboard.
