Role: GEO Program Manager
Job Description:
You will be responsible for: As a GEO Program Manager, you will serve as the operational backbone of Indegene’s Generative Engine Optimization practice — owning program governance, resource orchestration, delivery cadence, financial tracking, and cross-functional coordination across all active GEO engagements. You will ensure that every engagement runs on time, within budget, and meets quality standards — while providing the GEO leadership with a single, reliable view of practice health.
This role sits at the intersection of delivery operations, practice management, and client program management. You will not own GEO strategy or technical execution, but you will be the person who ensures that strategy and execution come together seamlessly at scale.
Must Have
About you:
Program Governance & Delivery Operations
• Establish and manage the end-to-end program governance framework for the GEO practice — defining delivery cadences, milestone tracking, escalation protocols, and quality gates.
• Own the master delivery tracker across all active GEO engagements — providing real-time visibility on engagement status, risks, dependencies, and resource utilization.
• Run weekly/biweekly program reviews with GEO Leads, Strategists, Consultants, Leadership— surfacing risks, resolving blockers, and driving accountability on commitments.
• Define and maintain standardized delivery processes, templates, and SOPs that enable consistent, scalable execution across engagements.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery operations — identifying bottlenecks, process gaps, and automation opportunities.
Resource Management & Capacity Planning
• Own resource allocation and capacity planning across the GEO team — ensuring optimal utilization of analysts, leads, and strategists across engagements.
• Maintain a rolling resource forecast aligned with the engagement pipeline and hiring plan; flag staffing gaps proactively to the Director.
• Coordinate onboarding and ramp-up plans for new GEO hires in partnership with the Director and HR.
• Track and report team utilization, bench time, and productivity metrics to support practice-level workforce planning.
Financial Tracking & Practice Reporting
• Track engagement-level financials — revenue recognition, effort/cost tracking, gross margin, and budget adherence — in alignment with the practice P&L.
• Prepare monthly practice dashboards for the GEO Director covering delivery health, financials, team metrics, and client satisfaction indicators.
• Support the Director in annual operating plan development — headcount planning, investment cases, and revenue forecasting.
• Manage SOW/contract administration in partnership with legal and account teams — tracking scope, change orders, and renewal timelines.
Client Program Management
• Serve as the engagement-level program manager for select large/complex GEO accounts — managing steering committees, governance meetings, and executive-level status reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functional dependencies with Indegene’s content, omnichannel, technology, and data teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage client escalations with structured resolution processes and transparent communication.
• Drive CSAT and NPS tracking at the engagement level; feed insights into practice-level quality improvement initiatives.
Tools, Automation & Knowledge Management
• Evaluate and implement project management and reporting tools (Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or equivalent) to streamline GEO delivery operations.
• Build and maintain a centralized knowledge repository — engagement playbooks, templates, case studies, and lessons learned.
• Drive adoption of standard operating procedures and delivery best practices across the GEO team.
Good to have
Qualifications & Experience
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• MBA or PMP/PgMP/PMI-ACP/PRINCE2 certification is strongly preferred.
• Certifications in Agile (CSM, SAFe) are an advantage.
Experience Profile
• 7+ years of progressive experience in program/project management, delivery operations, or PMO roles — preferably in a digital services, consulting, or technology environment.
• Proven track record of managing multi-workstream programs with 5+ concurrent engagements.
• Experience with financial tracking, P&L reporting, and resource management at a practice or portfolio level.
• Strong client-facing program management experience — comfortable managing steering committees and executive stakeholder communication.
• Prior experience in digital marketing, SEO/SEM, or content services is a strong advantage (though GEO domain expertise is not required for this role).
Life Sciences Domain
• Exposure to the life sciences or healthcare industry is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with pharma commercial operations, content workflows, or regulatory considerations is an advantage.
• Understanding of agency/consulting delivery models and matrixed organizational structures.
Technical & Functional Skills
• Program Management: Agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies; program governance frameworks; risk and dependency management.
• Tools: Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, Confluence, or equivalent PM platforms.
• Financial: Budget tracking, revenue forecasting, resource costing, and P&L reporting.
• Reporting: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets, PowerBI/Looker Studio dashboards, executive-level presentation skills.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage stakeholders across levels from analysts to directors.
