Role: Digital Strategy Manager (Data Cloud)
Job description: We are looking for a skilled Salesforce Data Cloud Specialist to join Indegene (US). This a strategic leadership role responsible for managing the Salesforce Data Cloud practice, ensuring seamless alignment with business objectives and marketing strategies to drive impactful outcomes. This role will focus on integrating Salesforce Data Cloud capabilities into clients existing marketing automation framework, with the goal of enabling smarter, data-driven journey activation through Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). The ideal candidate will possess both deep technical expertise in Salesforce Data Cloud and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, deployment specialists, and marketers.
You will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and update audience segments and calculated insights (CIs) within Salesforce Data Cloud, aligning with journey activation requirements in SFMC.
• Collaborate closely with SFMC Operations, including Deployment Specialists and DPMs, to integrate Data Cloud segments and insights into live marketing journeys.
• Work with the Journey Builder team to activate journeys using the most current and relevant data segments from Data Cloud.
• Partner with the Data Cloud Product Owner and the broader implementation team to coordinate and align on activation priorities, ensuring successful audience deployment.
• Support the design and documentation of scalable, repeatable processes for segment and CI management, helping standardize workflows across teams.
• Participate in cross-functional discussions to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable data strategies.
• Provide ongoing feedback to improve Data Cloud utilization, data harmonization strategies, and segment performance.
• Ensure all activation and segmentation work aligns with marketing objectives, customer experience standards, and compliance requirements.
Must Have
Education
• MBA from a Reputed Institute.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, IT).
Experience
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 4 years working with Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
• Demonstrated success delivering digital transformation or marketing automation projects.
Salesforce Expertise
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud features such as Data Source Setup, DLO-DMO Mapping, Segmentation, Calculated Insights, Identity Resolution, and Activation Targets.
• Strong working knowledge of Journey Builder, Contact Builder, and Audience Studio in SFMC.
Certifications
• Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certification (Marketing Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Administrator)
Process & Collaboration
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product Owners, Marketing Ops, Deployment teams, and Implementation Partners.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data logic into clear, actionable processes.
Technical Proficiency
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
Analytical Thinking
• Strong data interpretation and troubleshooting skills, especially in environments with partial information or evolving datasets.
Good to have
Industry Experience
• Prior work in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Pharma marketing environments preferred
MarTech Exposure
• Familiarity with omnichannel campaign management
• Digital advertising platforms - Web analytics and tagging tools
Reporting & Insights
• Experience with campaign performance dashboards
• Reporting frameworks - Data storytelling
Vendor & Project Management
• Experience managing third-party vendors, external agencies, or offshore teams contributing to CDP/SFMC delivery
