Role Overview
We are looking for an AWS Junior Data Engineer with hands-on experience in building and maintaining data pipelines on AWS and Databricks platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills, experience working in Agile environments, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.

 

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using AWS services and Databricks.
Work with structured and unstructured data to support analytics and business requirements.
Design and implement data transformation processes using PySpark and Python.
Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring data quality and reliability.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Document technical solutions and follow data engineering best practices.

 

Required Skills
Good knowledge of AWS cloud services (S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, Athena or related services).
Hands-on experience with Databricks.
Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark.
Experience in developing ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation processes.
Exposure to data warehousing and big data concepts.
Experience working directly with client-facing teams or onsite client engagements.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications
AWS certification is an added advantage.
Knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts.
Exposure to CI/CD and data pipeline automation tools.
