Role Description - Omnichannel Medical Lead


Description: Driven by Client’s Digital Business Transformation, the Client's US organization is looking for a OmniChannel Medical Lead to increase the digital touchpoints with KOLs & HCPs by our Medical Affairs organization in US.
The Omnichannel Medical Lead is responsible for leading and championing the adoption and integration of omnichannel capabilities across the medical organization in the US. This role acts as a bridge between business needs and the technical and operational aspects of the organization. 


The Omnichannel Medical Lead role will focus on Omnichannel enablement for HCPs; non-promotional intent and mainly focusing on (pre-)launch communications. This role will be responsible for design, execution and analysis of the Omnichannel Medical capability in close collaboration with the Medical Community in US and the digital teams (I2I & IT) with the aim to enhance KOL / HCP experience. This position will serve also as a coach for other Digital Medical Leads in the US Medical Affairs teams to upskill their expertise in Omnichannel.


The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of omnichannel approaches in a medical setting, able to execute campaigns, act as a project manager and having the ability to learn medical people to upskill their omnichannel expertise.


Major Responsibilities


Act as the go-to-person for Omnichannel Medical campaigns in the US and share knowledge within the teams:

1) Strategy Development

Develop and implement an omnichannel medical approach aligned with the medical teams’ goals and objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute omnichannel medical initiatives to drive business impact.


2) Campaign Design

Collaborate with Medical Affairs team to recommend, create, and execute feasible omnichannel campaigns to drive improved HCP/KOL engagement.
Serve as a business partner in the development and pull-through of a differentiated and insights-driven customer experience, working closely with medical colleagues.
Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on best practices for medical content structure,


3) Campaign execution
Accountable: Execute &/or oversee the OmniChannel Medical campaign execution


4) Campaign monitoring
Leverage data analytics to measure the effectiveness of omnichannel initiatives.
Monitor KPIs and adjust strategies as needed to optimize engagement and impact.


5) Cross-Functional Collaboration & learning
Ability to lead or facilitate collaboration across functions (medical, I2I & IT), global/local, and within medical teams by embedding mindset of 'HCP at the center.' In partnership with commercial omnichannel and brand teams, understand commercial activity reaching each HCP and harmonize medical efforts to synergize rather than compete with those efforts.


Facilitate training and education on omnichannel best practices for internal teams, such as:

· Serve as a mentor and coach for other Medical Digital Leads in the US Medical Affairs teams, providing guidance on omnichannel strategy development, and campaign design, execution, and monitoring.
· Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and training workshops to empower the Medical Digital Leads and their teams to leverage digital channels effectively for scientific communications and medical information.
· Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in digital health, medical communications, and omnichannel to drive innovation and enhance the effectiveness of medical outreach efforts.


6) Project Manager:
Lead the cross-functional team to deliver timely and with expected impact the Omnichannel Medical Campaigns.
Provide regular feedback to team members, ensure everyone understands their individual tasks, and promote effective communication.


7) Change Agent
Contribute to the required mindset & behavioural change of the medical teams towards OmniChannel for Medical
Define the value proposition & value story for Medical teams /& Omnichannel


Required Skills & Expertise:

· Industry experience & proven record in biotech/pharma space with omnichannel or digital engagements for medical
· Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams
· Experience working with digital, data, analytics, and/or technology organizations
· Strong project management and collaboration skills
· Experience navigating a matrix environment in a medium/large company, with strong interpersonal/relationship building skills, effective communication and influence skills
· Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory / compliance requirements regarding scientific exchange and the dissemination of medical information
· In-dept knowledge of healthcare industry trends and evolving digital delivery methods for scientific information to HCPs
· Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for leveraging digital technologies to drive medical education and engagement
· Some experience with Change Management initiatives


Support:
The candidate will be supported by a cross-functional team (global & US, medical, IT, I2I, L&D,…).
A governance structure with a Steerco & core team set-up will be put in place to deliver this Omnichannel Medical capability timely with the right expectations and facilitate removal of barriers.
