Key Responsibilities
Program Orchestration & Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery of large, complex programs spanning multiple business units, functions, and geographies over medium-to-long durations.
- Define program strategy, structure the roadmap, and break ambiguous, enterprise-scale ambitions into sequenced, interdependent workstreams with clear milestones.
- Establish and enforce program governance, operating rhythms, decision forums, and reporting standards across all workstreams.
- Manage critical path, dependencies, and cross-workstream conflicts to keep multi-quarter programs on time, on budget, and on scope.
Client Management & Experience
- Own the client relationship and experience throughout the programs — maintaining trust, transparency, and confidence at every stage.
- Treat exceptional client experience as a core program outcome — anticipate concerns, manage expectations, and ensure sponsors and clients feel the value delivered at each milestone.
- Own, track, and continuously improve client-experience metrics — Net Promoter Score (NPS) and CSAT scores— using feedback to drive concrete improvements across the program.
- Build enduring client partnerships that extend beyond the current program, positioning Indegene as a trusted long-term partner.
Stakeholder & Change Management
- Act as the senior orchestration interface across executive sponsors, function leaders, and external partners.
- Build alignment and drive crisp decisions across diverse, sometimes competing, stakeholder groups — without relying on formal authority.
- Lead change management, communications, and adoption so that program outcomes stick well beyond go-live.
- Anticipate and neutralize escalations before they reach sponsors or clients; maintain a transparent, “no-surprises” posture.
Governance, Risk & Continuous Improvement
- Establish robust governance covering scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, benefits realization, and compliance.
- Define and track KPIs, milestones, and benefit metrics; report progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to senior leadership.
- Proactively identify and mitigate program risks across the full lifecycle before they become roadblocks.
- Leverage data and insights to drive continuous improvement in delivery velocity, quality, and cost efficiency.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 8+ years of program / project management experience, with a strong track record of leading complex, cross-functional, medium-to-long duration programs end to end.
- Demonstrated experience in two or more of: multi-function orchestration, geo expansion, end-to-end digital transformation, M&A integration, operating-model redesign, or regulatory / compliance-driven transformations.
- Proven ability to orchestrate across business units, functions, and geographies, managing many interdependent workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong grounding in program-management disciplines — scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk, critical-path, and benefits management.
- Excellent stakeholder management, change management, and executive communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree; an MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is a strong plus.
- Recognized program certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
Good to have
Preferred Experience
- Experience standing up program management offices (PMOs) and governance frameworks from scratch.
- Experience in regulated or high-compliance environments — life sciences, pharmacovigilance (PV), clinical, BFSI, healthcare, etc.
Leadership Competencies
- Strong ownership mindset with a bias for execution and outcomes over the long haul.
- Ability to operate calmly under pressure, hold complexity, and resolve ambiguity.
- Structured, systems-level thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Influential leader who can align diverse teams and senior stakeholders without formal authority.
Success Metrics
- On-time, on-budget, on-scope delivery of complex programs with minimal escalations.
- Exceptional client experience, evidenced by strong and improving NPS and CSAT scores.
- Realized program benefits and sustained adoption of the target state.
- Strong sponsor, stakeholder, and client satisfaction and trust.
- Effective governance and risk management across the full program lifecycle.
