Senior Promotional Copywriter
Job Description
We are looking for a talented professional with copywriting and medical writing skills, who can work on developing medical content and market access materials for the brands. This role will be working directly with one of our major pharmaceutical clients. You should also have a level of Copywriting skills focused on the Medical Industry, working on developing promotional copy content for brand deliverables.
The main focus of the role will be to create promotional communication content. You should be recognized as a brand expert with an ability to translate the science and data into compelling promotional copy. Creativity, innovative thinking, and problem-solving should also be at the heart of all you do.
You may also be asked to provide medical and scientific communication content, work with regulatory compliance guidelines, medical literature references. This role may also develop market access content.
The roles and responsibilities of a Copy Writer include the following:
• Ensure compliance to local legislation and regulations, ensuring that content development & activities are supported by authentic and up-to-date references.
• Develop and update content for various commercial assets, with a focus on omnichannel implementation on digital channels (including banner ads, emails, sales rep materials, social media content and websites) – as well as printed material (including posters, slide kits, patient guidelines, leaflets and conference materials).
• Develop and review digital modules and assets assembled by the local team from a medical accuracy standpoint including referencing and language expertise, with the quality requirements as per client satisfaction metrics, within assigned timelines and with guidance from the manager
• Work in partnership with the graphic design team (on the needs for copy and content), with the brand and production teams on briefs, workshops and project deliveries.
• Ensuring tasks are performed as per assigned processes, guidelines, and SOPs with the help of tools and platforms specified by the client stakeholders
• Follow best practices in the department regarding ways of working, communication (internal and external), project management, documentation and technical requirements such as language, grammar, stylization, content search, summarizing, data conflicts, and referencing
• Participating in assigned training programs and working on assignments as per requirement.
• Participating in client calls as per project requirements
• Being compliant to quality, confidentiality, and security; adhering to and following quality systems, processes, and policies; and being compliant to training and specifications
Must Have:
• Education—M Pharm/BDS/MDS
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical companies
• A generalist in the field of respiratory & cardiovascular, renal & metabolic & oncology with an overall understanding of the medical field.
• Strong flair and passion for writing
• Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
• Passion for networking and stakeholder engagement.
• Being up to date with the latest technical/scientific developments and relating them to various projects
• Client-oriented attitude with focus on creating strong long-term relationships with clients and encouraging others to work toward this goal
• Ability to assure timely completion of assignments
• Skilled in problem identification and problem solving
• Detail oriented, well organized and timeline driven with the ability to multitask.
• Experience working within a big multi-national company in a matrix environment.
